Shisha embroidery (“abhla bharat” or mirrorwork) originated in India in the 17th century as a way to decorate garments to mimic the gems and other expensive materials used by the rich. This kit shows you different ways to attach the mirrors to create different effects. Printed fabric, thread, mirrors and a little frame to act as a traditional slate frame are all included in this kit.
