- Description
Embroidery has long been the easiest way of embellishing buttons to create fastenings that are a perfect match for the garment. From the very simple stitched outlines of the medieval period to the height of the 18th century embroidered masterpieces, each button is a work of art.
These buttons are inspired by the table linens embroidered by Gina’s Grandmother-in-law, Mabel Charlotte, in the 1930s. The bright colours and floral motifs use simple stitches to create pretty designs.
The kit also includes a little frame to act as a traditional slate frame, allowing your fabric to be stretched while you work for a really professional finish.
Full instructions, a stitch guide, threads, needle and backing felt are also included, as well as a thread holder and some elastic to turn your buttons into a simple bracelet if you wish.
Kit includes:
- printed fabric with 6 button designs
- mini slate frame
- 6 button moulds
- thread
- thread holder
- felt
- needle
- elastic for optional bracelet
