Full instructions, printed fabric& precision cut card pieces to make a Victorian style patchwork pincushion in the shape of a vase
Style: Vase 2 - New design!
Approx finished size: 60mm x 40mm
These little dimensional pincushions were traditionally made by Victorian ladies using up scraps of fabric and pieces of card they had carefully cut to shape. This kits brings this up to date by including precision cut card pieces and bespoke printed fabric to make a pretty little blue and white vase.
The method uses 'English Paper Piecing' patchwork techniques to create a dimensional fabric shape. The pins are placed along the seam lines to ensure the ornament keeps its shape. Padding is not normally used, which means that the finished shapes are light - this space can also be used to add wadding (or rice for extra weight)
This little vase shape includes a small hole in the top piece to allow you to add a small floral posy - perfect for ganutell flowers.
