Thank you all for your continued support during these trying times.
We are still here, but please note that the UK is again in full lockdown, this is likely to continue until February. This means that we will be shipping only once or twice a week - enabling us to work from home at the other times and stay within government guidelines. We are working hard to ensure that no one waits too long for their order to be sent.
Should you need to contact us, email is the best option.
There are shipping delays worldwide at present due to the virus. If you are at all concerned about the whereabouts of your order while it is in transit please choose a tracked option. We cannot give you a tracking number of you choose standard delivery.
Stay safe everyone.
As many of you will have heard, many countries have temporarily closed their borders to people from the UK due to a new strain of Covid being discovered in London. In some cases, such as in France, this closure has been to all traffic - including freight.
Basically, this means we cannot ship to any European country while France has closed borders, as the Royal Mail will not accept post.
This situation is expected to change quite soon, but with the Christmas holidays upon us, it is likely that no European (and perhaps other) overseas shipping will be able to be made until January 4th.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support through this year.
We hope that you all have a safe and happy Christmas.
The UK has come out of full lockdown, though with many limitations. Please be aware that there are still delays in shipping - particularly to North America, and as a result of the world situation, the Royal Mail have also increased shipping costs.
We are shipping goods as quickly as possible.
Please also note that the UK Government will put in place "local lockdowns" should an area see a spike, and we may not have notice of these. We will of course keep you informed.
Thank you for your continued support - it means a lot to us!
Now that the UK is in virtual lock-down, it is important to update you.
The UK government has stated that online businesses may continue to operate. As such, we will continue to accept orders on this website, but we will be dispatching order less often - this will reduce risk for us, and help to protect the NHS by us not being out and about.
To keep updated, do please visit our Facebook page and join the Gina-B Silkworks Group on Facebook, where Gina will be doing some "go live" tutorials. She has also started filming some for our YouTube channel too, so do keep an eye out there. It's important that we all try to keep connected during these stressful times.
Stay well, stay at home if you are able, and we can all help the NHS manage this. And if you are a key worker, thank you.
As with everyone else, we are following Government advice closely with regards to our health and well being in all aspects, not just at work.
As a husband and wife team, all cleaning measures must work both in the home and the workplace in order to be effective and you can be assured that these measures have been taken by us. Following the recent announcement that those at risk due to health reasons must self-isolate for up to 12 weeks from this weekend in order to protect themselves will directly impact us.
Fortunately though, it should not impact upon you, our valued customers.
The only thing with immediate effect is that our forthcoming "in person" workshops will be cancelled until further notice. If you have booked, you will be notified individually.
Your orders will continue to be dispatched, but Gina will not be making daily visits to the post office - again, this is to lessen our own exposure. We aim to make visits every other weekday, so you may not even notice any delay! Special Delivery is currently not an option as we cannot guarantee next day from our dispatch point of view.
It is important to us to maintain as much normality within all aspects of our business as possible. We have got our home video studio set up, and intend to start filming for our YouTube channel next week. We have all sorts of ideas planned and really hope that you will tune in. Our Facebook group (Gina-B Silkworks Group) is a great place to visit to share pictures of your makes and be inspired by others, and well, to have a chat - so do stop by, you’d be very welcome! Gina will of course be continuing the One Button a Day 2020 challenge, and Gina will be joining other crafting demonstrators in the coming weeks doing Facebook lives mixing up our products a bit - so you may see a paper crafter using buttons, or Gina getting inky. The Facebook group hosting these get togethers is called Crafting together with all brands and can be found here - https://www.facebook.com/groups/3258213580963429/
Mark and Gina hope that you and your loved ones stay well and we will of course continue to keep you updated should the anything change.
