These unique tools are specially designed to hold thread-wrapped and fabric buttons to work techniques such as gorl, surface embroidery, beadwork, grappé, and other surface embellishment. Holding the handle as opposed to gripping the button edge can also help to reduce hand fatigue.

Temporarily stitch the chosen toon to the back of the covered button to support it while working the embellishment. The tapered top tool is designed to enable the button to be spun as part of the gorl technique.

These tools are designed to be attached to buttons that have already been covered - not uncovered moulds.
