This beautiful, super fine wool from Au Ver a Soie is labelled tapestry wool because it is the perfect size for traditional, woven tapestries. We would probably be better labelling it as a crewel wool, as it is finer than the counted stitch tapestry wool we usually associate with the term.

Each skein is made up of 4 ends of 8m. These ends are not twisted together, so they can be used singly for fine work, or with more strands. 

The colours are lovely, and the wool is soft. 

Perfect not only for crewel embroidery and woven tapestry, but also for covered buttons, tassels, braids and weaving.
