Smooth purl is a fine, thin wire that is coiled. It is very flexible (not suitable for ganutell edges) and is used in ganutell & cloisterwork as well as to create torsades and jasmine drops in tassel making.

It can also be cut into small pieces and used as beads, as decorative elements on goldwork, tassels, stumpwork & other embroidery as well as for other crafts. 

This is sold by weight. As such you may have more than one piece in the packet.
